BLOOD DONATION EVENT AT
PAKEMAN PRIMARY SCHOOL

After donating blood on World Sickle Cell Day 2017 (19th June), Damon aka @Damonno1barber from D AND L’s barber shop in Holloway North London, decided he wanted to help raise more awareness about the need for more black donors, SOOOOOO he organised a blood donation session in September for Sickle Cell Awareness month and this took place at the Pakeman Primary School, across the road from his place of work. Now, even if you get just one new blood donor that is amazing, but on the day there were lots of first time donors as well as regular donors who came to donate! This was a GREAT result and because of Damon and his friends efforts, it is safe to say that some people across the country received the blood they needed to keep them alive or maintain their treatment. For championing this cause, YBH cannot thank Damon enough and the same goes to the people who attended. Check out some of the people who made time to come and donate
